Acalanes High School · Class of 2030
The checklist, the calendar, the costs, and who runs what — in one place, kept current by your parent liaisons. Bookmark it once.
1 Do this now
Eight things. Done by Monday, August 10 is ideal — but if you're reading this at orientation, most are still fixable today. Tap to check them off.
Playing a fall sport? Clearance first.
Fall sports begin Monday, August 10 — the same day as Don's Day.
Forms & details: Athletic Clearances, Forms & Links. Questions on this go to the Athletics office, not the liaisons.
Finish Aeries registration.
Everything else depends on it. Print the email confirmation and bring to Don's Day, you need it.
Verify your residency.
The district needs proof of residency on file before school starts. Do it through the enrollment page.
Go through the official online Registration — and print the receipt.
Do the full flow start to finish, not item by item. That's how you actually see the class fund and the parent-org steps instead of clicking past them. You'll be asked for the printed final receipt at check-in on Monday. (Full cost breakdown in section 3.)
Order the yearbook. It's hiding.
Come say hi on Don's Day.
We're at the Class of 2030 table between the gyms, 7:30–11:30am. Find us on the Don's Day map, and the Don's Day Info Sheet walks through how the morning runs. Parent Orientation is at noon — students go to the PAC, parents go to the Library.
Quieter tips: 7:30–8am is sensory-friendly with no music, and mid-morning is typically less crowded.
Follow the Class of 2030 parents on Instagram.
@aca_class2030_parents is where we post event reminders and fundraiser news. It's the parents' account — not the student class page, and not APC's.
Save the date: Freshman Parent Social, Wed, Sept 16.
7–9pm at the Hideout in Lafayette. Adults only, cash bar. Our first real parent get-together of the year — come meet the other 2030 families. Details to come.
2 Dates
Everything that touches a Class of 2030 family. Past events drop off automatically.
3 Know
The stuff that doesn't change weekly. Open what you need.
The official Registration walks you through six steps that all feel required. They aren't. Nobody puts the whole picture in one place, so we did.
Required for PE. Pick up the first week of school.
Same deal.
Not required by the school, but non-refundable once bought, and most families get one. Free entry to home games, $25 saved on Homecoming tickets, a free Acalanes t-shirt at Don's Day, and local discounts. 25% goes straight to athletics.
Student-designed — new design each year. Orders close Aug 17, 11:59pm.
Funds class events now and builds the account for junior/senior prom, senior breakfast, Time of Reflection, and graduation. Straight talk: this doesn't cover everything a class needs by senior year — students earn a meaningful share of the rest through concessions and events they run. We'll post those here in advance, all year. No surprises.
Separate vendor, link at the bottom of the Freshman Supplies page. Order number 7610.
LPIE, APC, Boosters, and APAB appear as separate Webstore steps. Each funds something different but important for all students regardless of their connection with the org — see "Who runs what" below and give where it matters to your family.
The department lists (English, World Language, Math, Science) live here: Frosh Supplies List.
One tip from experience: grab the basics now if you want — pens, pencils, college-ruled paper, a couple of 2-inch binders, wired earbuds for science, and a plain scientific calculator for math (not a graphing one; teachers name the TI-30XIIS). But hold off on the class-specific extras until the first week, once teachers say exactly what they want. It saves you buying two of everything. And skip the planner — the school hands one out at Don's Day.
